- Hunter didn't come in to do the metal show after mine, so I played a couple new songs before telling the metal robot to do the metal show.

- More Tin Huey - that band was really something interesting.

- #5 speaks for itself. Perhaps the best Wilkes-Barre-based comedic prog-rock band of the mid-80s.

- "Angel Visit" is a song I liked as a little kid. Yes, I watched 120 Minutes as a little kid. My dad went through a phase of being fascinated by the art form of the independent music video.

- Good combo of intensely rocking R.E.M. songs, although I screwed up the attempt to segue between them. Next week play "King of Birds" (had completely forgotten about that song until today).

- 20 and 21 are equally rocking but the juxtaposition shows you how much the Pogues evolved from their improperly punky beginnings.

- 23 was a request by Kelly.

- Two people requested Jefferson Airplane, both in annoying ways. The second guy then requested Poison, followed by Pat Benatar. I decided "Kids In America" was the closest thing to Pat Benatar I could find.

- Saw no need to play Ken Nordine because we'd listened to the entire Colors album on a trip back from Michigan on Sunday. He will be back next show.

30. Hüsker Dü - Flexible Flyer - Flip Your Wig 1985

Annoying development today. We are now required to type everything in all caps with underscores between words instead of spaces.

Good show though. Mostly rocking. Ken Nordine.

Show is now preceded by Melissa's post-rock show. It used to be preceded by Melissa's formatless show, but now she has a format.

When Melissa heard the Pogues she told me to play the Flogging Molly song. Then when she heard "Looking From a Hilltop" she told me to play the Broadcast song. "Looking From a Hilltop" is really amazingly un-dated for an electro-pop song from 1984.

21 and 22 were actually recorded in 1980 or 1983 or something.

End of year

December 18 I was very busy and the union wasn't open anyway. I suppose I could have taken a daytime slot, since everyone else had finals.

December 25 I wasn't here; w00t and so forth.

January 1 I had gotten back in time for my show but the union wasn't open.
