Today's show was supposed to be devoted to a "New Wave" theme - songs sounding much more "eighties" than the guitar rock I usually play. I think it succeeded, although Gang of Four didn't really fit. It turns out that the music we associate with the "eighties" is actually the music of circa 1978-1984. Much like the music of the sixties is the music of 1965 to 1973.

The Throwing Muses song was one I heard David McWade play, so I played it. The GBV at the end was because I finally got the box set of their '80s albums!

Keith had the good idea to play Devo.

I finally figured out what dB's song from Stands for Decibels I had heard on WYEP a couple months ago. "Spy in the House of Love", which is actually on a different album. I swear they said it was on Stands for Decibels. Play that next week.
